Queens Park Rangers are to offer Angel Rangel an extension to his contract.
The 35-year-old joined the club on a five-month deal in August as cover while Darnell Furlong was sidelined.
Rangel has impressed in his absence and Rangers want to keep the Spaniard until at least the end of the season.
It comes as no surprise that the London club want to offer him an extension as Steve McClaren has described him as “the signing of the season”.
The experienced defender has been in sublime form for the Hoops this season as he continues to prove his worth at Loftus Road, with a number of crucial interception helping secure valuable points.
So, the London club will be desperate for him to sign the extension as he could play a huge part for them in the current campaign.
