Reading manager set for Fulham; Royals identify replacement

ReadingChampionships fans in the Transfer Tavern are enjoying the latest managerial merry go round this morning, after it was reported in the Mail that Reading manager Steve Clarke is set to move to close rivals Fulham.

With Kit Symons sacked just before the start of the international break, Fulham have been searching for a new manager for a while, and it appears they have opted for the former West Bromwich Albion coach.

Clarke, who has been in charge since January, had overseen a huge overhaul in the squad during his time in charge, but looks set to leave early already.

As a result, Reading are now set to move quickly for Nigel Pearson, who was also originally targeted by the Cottagers to replace Symons.

Talks are expected to accelerate before the end of the week, and it is widely expected that should Pearson take over at the Berkshire club, that he will appoint an entirely new back room team.

Fulham and Reading fans, how do you feel about all of this? Let us know!
