Wolverhampton Wanderers fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting the club to make a number of signings as they prepare to make their return to the Premier League.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were crowned as Championship winners as they raced away with the title, yet he is expected to make additions this summer to try and help them remain in the top-flight at the first time of asking.
The Molineux outfit have been linked with a move for Rio Ave’s Pele – however, it appears that the club are not interested in bringing him to the Black Country, as per a telling update from Express and Star journalist Tim Spiers on Twitter.

And this recent update is likely to intrigue and perhaps disappoint some of our resident Wolves fans, many of whom were hoping their side may be able to get a deal done for the £1.8 million-rated star (as per Transfermarkt) this summer.
Landlord’s Verdict: Pele is known to Wolves as they looked to make a deal for the player last year, yet an injury stopped a move at the time.
It would not be a surprise to the locals in the bar to see him linked with another move to the club, especially as the club will be in the market to bring in another central midfielder.
It remains to be seen if Nuno decides to raid his former club for the player, yet if Spiers is to be believed, then their attentions will need to be turned elsewhere.
