Nottingham Forest fans in the Transfer Tavern have come in for some exciting times this summer as they have managed to bring in some huge players so far.
Aitor Karanka’s side have already benefited with a relationship between them and super agent Jorge Mendes as he helped to bring Benfica duo Joao Carvalho and Diogo Goncalves to the City Ground, and reports in Portugal are claiming the Tricky Trees could be set to use their connections once again.
And that’s because, according to A Bola, Mendes could be set to bring SC Braga’s Nikola Vukcevic to the Championship, and a deal could be finalised within the next week.
The midfielder, who is also an international for the Serbia national team, has been recommended to Forest, and it is believed a deal could be too good for the Portuguese outfit to turn down.
And this recent news is sure to delight our resident Forest supporters, who are growing increasingly confident that their team can indeed sustain a Championship promotion challenge this term.
Landlord’s Verdict: Karanka wants to bring in wholesale changes to his Nottingham Forest side, and with the help of Mendes, it appears that he may be able to emulate what Wolverhampton Wanderers managed to do last season.
With the arrival of Carvalho and Goncalves already and the possible addition of Vukcevic as well, the fans in the Tavern will be excited about what could be in store for them next season in the Championship.
