Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern will want to forget about the day they have had and will be expecting the club to move forward quickly.
The Whites would have been expected to have been fairly active in the transfer window this summer as Marcelo Bielsa’s appointment would have caused some excitement and expectation around the club.
However, it appears not all things are as they seemed, as a report in the Yorkshire Evening Post is claiming that the Elland Road outfit has had a nightmare in their efforts to recruit new players.
The report has stated that the Whites have been dealt three huge blows in their search for new players as three of their key targets may now not be heading to Leeds, despite constant rumours about possible moves.
Angus Gunn is thought to be in advanced discussions with Southampton, Kyle Bartley is in talks with West Bromwich Albion, whilst the club has also stumbled in their pursuit of Matej Vydra as they are unwilling to meet his wage demands.
The Leeds fans in the Tavern will be angered that three of their targets may now be out of their reach despite the club having been courting them for some time.
The fans will know the squad needs improving if they are to have any chance of playing Premier League football next year and Gunn, Bartley and Vydra would all have increased their chances of that happen immensely.
