Report: Leeds table offer for prolific goalscorer as Bielsa shows intent

Leeds United could be about to bring one of their top targets to Elland Road this summer and the fans in the Transfer Tavern will be hoping that they can get it completed.

Marcelo Bielsa is keen on bringing a couple of new faces to the Whites this summer as he looks to strengthen the side and make them a competitive force in the Championship.

One area of concern he has is their attacking options, however, according to a report in the Daily Mail, those problems could soon be eased. It is being claimed that Leeds have made an offer worth £12million for Matej Vydra and are waiting on Derby County to make a decision on whether to accept it or not.

The Czech Republic striker is a prolific goalscorer in the division, having led the charts last season, however, the Rams need to ease their wage bill means they will have to make sacrifices, with the Whites ready to swoop in.

Landlord’s Verdict

The news that Leeds have already tabled a bid for Vydra will have gone down well with the locals in the Tavern, as it shows that the club are signalling their intent for next season.

The striker knows how to find the back of the net regularly, something that the Whites struggled with last year, and would certainly prove to be value for money if he continued to hit the heights he has wherever he has been.
