Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting the club to make some additions in the transfer window this summer as they look to mount a charge for Premier League football.
The locals were delighted when the club announced the appointment of Marcelo Bielsa as their new manager, with the Argentine considered a major coup for the Elland Road outfit.
The Elland Road outfit have been linked with a number of names over the course of the summer as he prepares to strengthen his side and has already signed Lewis Baker on a loan deal from Chelsea.
It is not a secret that the frontline has been a priority, along with a goalkeeper for Bielsa, with the likes of Matej Vydra and Abel Hernandez strongly linked, however, reports are starting to emerge with another man as a target.
According to the Northern Echo, the Whites are thought to be interested in Middlesbrough’s Britt Assombalonga, however, the club will have to stump up a fee of around £15million to bring him to Elland Road.
The Leeds fans would be interested in landing Assombalonga this summer, however, it would likely mean the end of a possible deal for Vydra should it happen.
Both have been prolific in the Championship during their careers, however, the residents would likely rather have the Czech Republic international at the top of their list following his exploits last season.
