Leeds United will need a number of new recruits next season if they are to challenge for a spot in next year’s Premier League and fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting their side to make movements in the transfer market in the coming weeks.
The Whites are expected to look at most, if not all, positions when it comes to their recruitment plans this summer and, according to reports, the club could be set to bring a winger to Elland Road in the near future.
Kickoff are claiming the Yorkshire outfit are looking to Germany for their next target, with Christian Clemens high on their radar. The 26-year-old is thought to be prepared for a new challenge after finishing rock-bottom of the Bundesliga with FC Koln last season.
The winger struggled for first-team football last season due to a multitude of injury problems, but he was influential for the German outfit when he did play and the statistics serve to illuminate exactly why Leeds are interested in him.
Many will feel if Clemens joins Leeds this summer that it would represent a coup for the club. A number of the locals in the bar would have said the same thing when they signed Samu Saiz last summer and will be hoping the German can have a similar impact.
Some of the punters will be concerned about the idea that Victor Orta is heading abroad once again for new talent considering many of his previous signings have failed to make an impression, however, they will look forward to seeing what the 26-year-old is able to produce should he join them.
