Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be disappointed to learn that they could miss out on one of their rumoured targets this summer.
Marcelo Bielsa has been looking to add a number of targets to his squad during the transfer window, with a striker appearing to be at the top of his shortlist.
Matej Vydra and Abel Hernandez have both been linked with a move to Elland Road, however, according to claims in Brazil, one of those men has attracted interest from a huge European side.
His agent, Pablo Betancourt, revealed that the player had received an offer from the Russian outfit, however, they are prepared to wait and see what happens.
“Hernandez is not a CSKA player yet but we received a good offer from them. We are delighted with the interest. Let’s just wait,” he told Diario Carioca.
The Leeds fans in the Tavern will be disappointed to hear that the club could be facing a huge issue trying to bring Abel Hernandez to Elland Road, considering that they have had huge amounts of time to try and sign him.
The club are said to be in two minds about a possible deal, with his wage demands thought to be too costly, however, he has proven he has the ability to find the back of the net on a regular and consistent basis in the Championship and the locals will hope they do not rue the chance to bring him to the Whites.
