Report states that a number of players are expected to leave Leeds this summer

Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking forward to what the club does this summer and could be prepared to see a number of names depart Elland Road in the coming weeks.

The Whites recently appointed Marcelo Bielsa as their new manager and it is thought he wants to make a number of changes as he looks to take his side into contention for a Premier League spot.

The Argentine will be looking to bring in a couple of new additions, however, according to a report made in the Yorkshire Evening Post, he is also expected to offload a number of the players from his squad as he looks to reduce the size.

It is believed Marcus Antonsson, Caleb Ekuban, Jay-Roy Grot, Andy Lonergan and Eunan O’Kane are amongst a host of names that are expected to depart Elland Road this summer as Bielsa does not appear to have plans for them.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Leeds fans in the Tavern will not be disappointed to see the names linked with possible exits this summer and will be pleased to see them go should they be able to offload them.

Antonsson spent the year on loan with Blackburn Rovers, whilst Ekuban and Grot failed to make an impact up front for the Whites and Lonergan did not cover himself in glory when in between the sticks.

Bielsa has been active in the transfer market for a goalkeeper and attacking options, which makes it no surprise that the names mentioned are likely headed for the Elland Road exit.
