Report: Wolves make enquiry for Brazil international – €12 million set aside for the deal

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans in the Transfer Tavern will be excited about the summer window as they look to make a handful of signings ahead of their return to the Premier League.

The Molineux outfit were crowned Champions of the Championship in convincing fashion, however, the locals will know that they will need to improve if they are to have any chance of surviving in the top-flight.

According to reports in Turkey, Nuno Espirito Santo has been busy identifying a number of targets and a Fenerbahce ace is on his radar.

Turkish-Football are claiming that Wolves have joined the race for midfielder Josef de Souza and have already made an enquiry regarding a potential deal, believing the side have put 12 million euro aside to complete a transfer.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Wolves fans in the Tavern will be pleased if they can bring a player of De Souza’s ability, having been a key member of the Turkish side last season. The 29-year-old Brazil international made 41 appearances for the Yellow Canaries, scoring 4 times and providing 2 assists in the process.

The Molineux outfit could be able to secure the services of the Brazilian for a cut-price fee as his contract expires next summer, and Fenerbahce could be forced to sell him if he decides against signing a new deal.
