Someone we know very well in the Football Transfer Tavern has popped up on our radar again. Former Manchester City player Robinho is once again facing rumours over his AC Milan future after losing his place in the starting line up this season.
The player’s agent Gilvan de Souza (also his father!) has issued a denial over the possible transfer of Robinho according to Sky Sports and despite being comprehensively overshadowed by Stephan El Shaarawy this season, the player will remain at the club and de Souza even claimed: “Robinho is happy when he plays for Milan, and recently he has been playing. He likes the club so for now he will not return to Brazil.”
This is hot on the heels of AC Milan’s under-fire coach Massimo Allegri also claiming that the player was ‘not for sale’ and that he will remain an important player for Milan for the second half of the season.
Robinho of course was infamous in the tavern and indeed Manchester during his time in England when he mistakenly thought he had signed for Manchester United and subsequently took a magic bus into the city centre. Of course compared to Mario Balotelli, this is nothing but it is fair to say that Robinho is a law unto himself.
