Nottingham Forest will need to pick up the pace if they want to secure a play-off spot in the current campaign, as they’ve only managed to bag all three points on one occasion.
Forest desperately need to improve under Aitor Karanka after a disappointing start to the season, with a lack of defensive solidity letting them down at times. And, to make matters worse, another Championship club are interested in stealing a player, as according to The Sun on Sunday (Print edition, September 16th 2018) (via Football League World), Hull City are eyeing a move for Ryan Yates.
Nottingham Forest midfielder Ryan Yates is being eyed up by fellow Championship club Hull City.
Yates has only recently signed a new deal with Forest, but his first team opportunities are likely to be limited with a host of summer incomings at the City Ground stopping him in his tracks.
Therefore, a move away in January could be in the offing.
Ryan Yates has impressed massively in recent seasons as he continues to come on leaps and bounds, but he is still waiting for a regular place in the Forest side.
Although, with Karanka investing heavily over the course of the summer transfer window and still trying to find a winning formula, the 20-year-old may be better off moving away in January.
