The Celtic fans who are competing in a pool tournament in the Football Transfer Tavern this evening, are discussing reports linking them with a move for a new striker.
HITC is reporting that the Scottish champions are interested in Bristol City forward Kieran Agard.
Clubs have been on high alert with regards to the player’s future, and are keen to find out his availability with regards to a transfer during this month.
The former Arsenal trainee has made 15 appearances for Bristol City so far this season, scoring on three occasions.
Bristol City only signed the forward last season from Rotherham United and he managed to score on 14 occasions for the side during their successful campaign in League One.
Celtic do a face a battle for the strikers signature with Fulham and Wigan Athletic also interested, but Fulham being under a transfer embargo all but rules them out of securing the players services this January.
The Celtic fans in The Transfer Tavern are not to bothered about interest from other clubs as they believe that a club of their stature, should have no problem enticing Agard to their club should a bid be made this January!
Our landlord here in the Tavern has to agree with the Celtic fans here in the Tavern, and feels Agard would surely relish the chance to play for one of Britain’s largest football clubs – with the lure of European football surely too hard to turn down!
Bristol City fans….. What do you make of this news? Is Agard good enough for Celtic? Let us know below!
