Sheffield United were dominant on Saturday as they secured all three points against Blackburn Rovers at Bramall Lane, with plenty of positives to take away.
The Blades won’t accept anything less than a play-off place in the current campaign and could still challenge for an automatic promotion place if they can ensure consistency from here on.
However, it appears as if Chris Wilder is looking at possible additions at this moment in time, as according to reliable journalist Alan Nixon’s personal Twitter account, Sheffield United are set to swoop for Yanic Wildschut.
“SHEFF U. Odd one. Keen on Yanic Wildschut at NORWICH. Currently bombed out at BOLTON. May swap loan clubs and head for Blades as squad man.”
Indeed, the attacker was very exciting during his early days at the Macron Stadium but things have fizzled out since then as he continues to stagnate behind the scenes.
On the other hand, the Blades could do with strengthening in attacking areas to aid their push for promotion, so he could prove to be a real asset in the second half of the campaign.
Chris Wilder has worked wonders in transfer windows gone by and the possible addition of Yanic Wildschut could prove to be another masterstroke as he has plenty of ability.
The Blades haven’t dropped off the pace like last season, but they won’t get too carried away at this point.
