Sheffield Wednesday already appear to be looking at possible transfer targets as they look to finally make improvements to their squad.
With the current form that the Owls are displaying in the Championship, you would be forgiven for not realising that Jos Luhukay’s side were under a transfer embargo for the majority of the summer.
However, it appears that the situation at the Hillsborough Stadium outfit is a lot better than it was and the Yorkshire outfit are keen to make the most of the time they lost.
The Championship outfit were not the only ones in attendance at the Estadio da Luz, with the likes of Manchester United, Everton and Atletico Madrid also thought to have been casting an eye.
However, the report does not suggest who the Owls could have been looking at, although given that Wednesday have scouted Portugal extensively in the past, they could be searching for their next star signing.
Sheffield Wednesday have been in fine form already this season, however, they will need to add to their squad in January if they are to have any chance of maintaining and improve their performances for the duration of the campaign.
Luhukay’s side are in need of additions in certain areas of the field and the Portuguese football league could offer them some great alternatives at cheaper prices.
The Owls, who started looking at the country under former boss Carlos Carvalhal, with the likes of Marco Matias and Lucas Joao having all arrived in the last few years.
