Jos Luhukay’s time at Sheffield Wednesday is certainly increasing in doubt as fixtures go by.
The Dutchman has seen his side win just one match in their last eight games, which has included six defeats and has prompted many of the Hillsborough faithful to start calling for his exit.
Should Dejphon Chansiri decide to wield the axe on Luhukay in the near future, questions would be asked about who he could bring to the Owls to try and fix things and bring the good times back to the Yorkshire outfit.
He wrote that Slavisa Jokanovic and Steve Bruce would be the ideal men to lead the team as they both have ‘exactly the right credentials.’
Both men are conveniently unemployed, with the former sacked by Fulham and the latter being booted out of Aston Villa, and have proven Championship experience that could prove vital to someone like Sheffield Wednesday.
There is no doubt that Jokanovic and Bruce would be great candidates for Chansiri to consider, however, there would be major doubts about whether they would want to head to Hillsborough.
The club have financial fair play issues that they will need to deal with, something Bruce may not want to go through again so soon, whilst Jokanovic appeared to have fun in the transfer market with Fulham this summer.
However, with Luhukay’s position seemingly coming under pressure as the season continues, Chansiri will likely have an important decision to make in the near future, especially if things on the pitch do not improve.
