Many West Brom fans will still be in shock over Darren Moore’s sacking as he didn’t really do an awful lot wrong, and the Baggies are still in a promising position in the play-offs.
Of course, with promotion to the Premier League at stake at this moment in time it’s important that the board make the right decision when it comes to appointing Moore’s successor.
And, it appears as if they already have their eye on a candidate.
What’s the news?
Former Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic is on West Brom’s shortlist for new head coach, according to the Express & Star.
He was relieved of his duties at Craven Cottage earlier on this season, so he could be looking for a new challenge.
Surprisingly, it’s understood the board became increasingly unconvinced Moore and they’re hopeful of having their man in place before the Swansea home game on Wednesday.
Slavisa Jokanovic worked wonders in the Championship during his time at Craven Cottage as he managed to help the London club secure promotion to the Premier League, so West Brom fans will be hoping that he can work his magic at the Hawthorns if he ends up being appointed.
Indeed, the 50-year-old’s managerial style would benefit the Baggies massively as they have the right players to press the opposition high up the pitch and the pace in attacking areas to play quick, fast-paced football.
Of course, bringing in a new man and failing to secure promotion would be a disaster, so it’s important that the board make the right decision in the coming days.
West Brom fans, would you like to see Jokanovic at the Hawthorns?
