Striker opens up on future in blow for Leeds United

Leeds United could be set to miss out on an attacking talent and fans in the Transfer Tavern will be disappointed with the news.

The Whites are desperate to add firepower to their side this summer as they look to compete in the Championship next season, following an abysmal campaign this year.

Paul Heckingbottom will want to bring in a number of targets, however, it appears Marvin Ducksch has ruled a move out to join them at Elland Road.

The 24-year-old has been touted as a possible signing after impressing in the Bundesliga 2, although, he has revealed he wants to try his luck in Germany’s top-tier.

“Everyone would understand why it would not work with me at Kiel,” he told Sky Deutschland, via Inside Futbol.

“My goal is to play in the Bundesliga and if there is a possibility, I will not say no.”

Landlord’s Verdict

The Whites in the Tavern will be disappointed that they may not be able to attract Ducksch to join them at Elland Road, as he would have been in a position to help fire them towards the Premier League.

The striker scored 18 goals this season for Holstein Kiel, helping to guide them to a play-off spot, where they narrowly missed out on promotion to the Bundesliga.

Leeds will now need to turn their attention to someone else as Ducksch does not seem a viable option at this moment.
