The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern all want to see electric Hull City star, Abel Hernandez, at Elland Road next season. A story in The Yorkshire Evening Post has detailed how Paul Heckingbottom is interested in the Uruguayan frontman as his deal with Hull expires this summer, although his wages could be a stumbling block.

The Whites propping our bar up have struggled to watch their forwards this season. Caleb Ekuban, Jay-Roy Grot, Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Kemar Roofe have been far from impressive and between the four of them, they failed to match the 27 goals scored by Chris Wood alone last season. The Yorkshire club suffered a torrid second-half of the season, winning just four games between the turn of the year and the end of the season.
The club’s attacking line-up could do with an injection of pace, and that’s exactly what Hull City’s Hernandez would provide. The striker will be ending his four-year stay at the KCOM Stadium this summer whoever he decides to leave for, after signing for The Tigers from Italian side, Palermo back in summer 2014. If the striker does join Leeds, the pressure will be on him to perform, and quickly, the expectation is always high at Elland Road and if he fails to live up to it then his career in Yorkshire won’t last long.
