Two more men added to the list of players Aitor Karanka could offload

Aitor Karanka has been active in the transfer window this summer looking to make his Nottingham Forest side as strong as possible.

The Tricky Trees finished the Championship campaign disappointingly low last season and the Spaniard is looking to make the most of his first summer window in charge of the City Ground outfit.

The former Middlesbrough manager has brought in a number of players to help with his cause in trying to take Forest back to the Premier League and has seen a number of talented men join the squad.

Despite all the additions he has made, Karanka is expected to offload a number of the players that he does not have plans for and reports are now suggesting that two more will be added to the list of men that can leave this summer.

According to the Nottingham Post, both Stephen Henderson and Dimi Evtimov are regarded as being surplus to requirements at the City Ground and have been told that they can look for new teams to join.

The Verdict:

These two names do not really come as a surprise as both have failed to make an impact, or even be given a chance during their time at the club.

Henderson spent the second half of last season out on loan to Portsmouth, whilst Evtimov has made just three appearances for the side since joining them seven years ago.

With the arrival of Costel Pantilimon on a permanent basis and rumours surrounding the possibility of Bruno Varela joining from Benfica, the duo’s time has looked rather limited for a while.
