Blackburn Rovers are set to receive plenty of unwanted interest in one of their bright academy prospects.
Vilius Piliukaitis joined the Ewood Park outfit on a temporary deal from the Lithuanian National Football Academy in the summer, however, they face a tough task of keeping hold of him.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are all thought to be chasing the 17-year-old.
Piliukaitis is highly-rated by many and is considered to be one of the brightest prospects currently in the EFL.
Rovers are not thought to be surprised in the interest, with a source stating: “Vilius has emerged as one of the best young players we have seen in years, they knew he was talented before he arrived but he is surpassed expectations massively and now it is little surprise that the interest is so high.”
Piliukaitis has been putting in a number of impressive displays at the developmental level for Blackburn since joining in the summer.
The lure of joining one of the country’s biggest clubs could be too good for the teenager to turn down, which will certainly cause the Championship outfit some concern.
However, they will be hopeful that they can convince him to remain at Ewood Park and should look to do all they can to keep him with them.
