West Bromwich Albion have been busy rebuilding their side this summer following their relegation to the Championship.
Darren Moore’s side have already lost a number of talented players following their disappointing Premier League campaign, however, he has been working quickly to make sure his team is still in a position to challenge for promotion.
The Baggies have already added four players to the squad, with Sam Johnstone, Jonathan Bond, Kyle Bartley and Harvey Barnes all being signed, however, it is understood that more men are expected to be at The Hawthorns in the near future.
According to a report in The Express and Star, Albion could be about to make their fifth signing of the transfer window as they remain in talks for Simon Moore. The Sheffield United goalkeeper is thought to be on the verge of completing a switch and a deal is believed to be a few days away from completion.
The 28-year-old would be a smart addition for West Brom to make this summer, although he would not be expected to be in the first-team.
With Johnstone’s arrival, Moore would seem to be a back-up at The Hawthorns, however, his knowledge of the Championship could be vital to helping the Baggies compete for promotion.
West Brom are quietly building a team that are capable of mounting an effort of returning back to the Premier League at the first time of asking and should be in the running at the business end of the campaign.
