Leeds United managed to secure all three points against Queens Park Rangers yesterday, which helped them take another step towards promotion to the Premier League.
The Whites will be desperate to strengthen in the January transfer window to help their promotion push, but they won’t want to lose any of their star players either. Although, it appears as if one of the club’s standout performers is attracting interest, as according to reliable journalist Alan Nixon, West Brom will look to sign Kalvin Phillips next summer if Leeds fail to secure promotion.
Interestingly, it appears as if the Baggies will look to sign Phillips next summer should Darren Moore’s men secure promotion and Leeds fail to do so.
Indeed, the Englishman has been one of the standout performers in the Championship this season and deserves a move to the Premier League, but it remains to be seen as to whether Leeds or West Brom will secure promotion.
Kalvin Phillips, who is valued at £4.5 million (by Transfermarkt), could leave Elland Road in the summer if Leeds United fail to secure promotion, with West Brom keen to strike a deal.
Although, with the Whites in a commanding position to secure an automatic promotion place at this moment in time, they shouldn’t have anything to worry about.
