West Brom face battle to keep duo at The Hawthorns this summer

West Bromwich Albion look set to have a battle on their hands this summer as they look to keep some of their stars at The Hawthorns and the fans in the Transfer Tavern will be bracing themselves for the worst.

Darren Moore will be tasked with trying to take the Baggies back into the Premier League next season, following their relegation from the top-flight and it will not have been made any easier.

The club have already lost the likes of Ben Foster, Gareth McAuley and Jonny Evans and are set to face a testing summer where they try to keep some of their other stars from heading off.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Moore will need to try and convince Jay Rodriguez and Craig Dawson to remain at the Hawthorns as Burnley are interested in taking the duo from them.

It is believed that the defender wants to leave the Baggies and has already handed in a transfer request, whilst the former Turf Moor man may want to make the move back to his hometown club.

Landlord’s Verdict

The West Brom fans in the Tavern will be expecting the worst when it comes to the possibility of their players leaving. Dawson looks as though he has already made his mind up with an official transfer request, whilst Rodriguez could be tempted to head back to his home club.

The locals in the bar will be hoping the Baggies can hold out for as long as possible and receive a huge fee for the duo, as they will then need to use the funds to bring in a number of replacements if they are to try and achieve promotion back to the Premier League.
