West Bromwich Albion have been working hard with their recruitment drive this summer as they prepare for life in the Championship.
The Baggies have already made five additions to their squad so far as they look to rebuild the side following the fallout from their relegation from the Premier League last season.
Sam Johnstone, Kyle Bartley, Jonathan Bond, Connor Townsend and Harvey Barnes have all joined whilst Boaz Myhill opted to re-sign a new one-year contract to remain at The Hawthorns.
However, it does not look as though this will be slowing down for Darren Moore’s side this summer, with it being claimed that the club are closing in on a sixth deal.
The Glovers have, in fact, confirmed that they had accepted a record-undisclosed fee on their official website with the Baggies having initially been tagged, but later deleted from the piece.
The 22-year-old is due to have a medical later today (Wednesday) and is yet to agree to personal terms.
James is a player that is expected to go far in the game and West Brom will be delighted to get him signed.
The full-back has been attracting plenty of interest from clubs all around the Football League after he won a number of awards for his performances with Yeovil.
Predominantly a right-back, he can also play on the left or in the centre of defence, or further forward as a right midfielder, giving Moore plenty of options and his £400,000 fee could become a bargain very quickly.
