West Brom have scouts in attendance at Bordeaux’s game

West Bromwich Albion have been one of the standout performers in the Championship this season as they continue to fight for an automatic promotion place.

The Baggies managed to secure all three points against Leeds United on Saturday evening in what was a completely dominant second-half display from Darren Moore’s side. And, it appears as if the Midlands club are weighing up potential transfer targets, as according to Girondins4ever (via All Nigeria Soccer), West Bromwich Albion have scouts in attendance for Bordeaux’s match against Caen.

At least three English clubs were said to be in attendance when Bordeaux took on Caen at Stade Matmut-Atlantique on yesterday afternoon.

Interestingly, it’s thought that Wolverhampton Wanderers, West Bromwich Albion and Queens Park Rangers posted their scouts to run the rule over the players on both teams.

Nigeria international Samuel Kalu could be the man in question, but the Bordeaux No. 10 does not automatically qualify for a work permit to play in England as he has not featured in seventy five percent of Nigeria’s competitive games over the last two years.

Perhaps the Baggies are looking to strengthen in attacking areas, with Jay Rodriguez being linked with a move away from the Hawthorns and Matt Phillips possibly attracting attention.

So, it’s clear to see that Darren Moore is looking at potential addition for the January transfer window, with reinforcements needed to help secure promotion.
