West Bromwich Albion have not been afraid to dip into the free agent market this season and it looks as though they could head into it once again.
The experienced full-back played the first half of a developmental game at the weekend as the Baggies look to see whether he can give them an added boost, despite primarily allowing him to be at the club to keep his fitness up.
A versatile player, Halford has been at a number of clubs during his career, with spells at Nottingham Forest, Cardiff City – where he helped them achieve promotion last season, and rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Moore has not been a stranger to the free agent market this season, having brought a couple of the players to the club on short-term deals, whilst taking a look at a few others over the course of the campaign already.
Halford certainly has some experience, having largely played at the Championship level for the majority of his career.
It remains to be seen if the 34-year-old will be able to do enough to win himself a contract at The Hawthorns, or if the Baggies decide against adding him and look in January to bolster his options.
