West Bromwich Albion have gone off the boil a little bit recently, having suffered two defeats in their last three matches, with the other result ending as a draw.
Darren Moore’s side had started the Championship campaign in flying form, however, they have since slipped to fifth in the table after a couple of poor results.
The Baggies are considered to be one of the favourites to win promotion back to the Premier League, especially given their firepower, however, The Hawthorns outfit appear to be keen on adding to their defensive ranks.
The defender has attracted plenty of interest and almost left the Dons in the summer, however, the Scottish Premiership outfit decided to keep hold of him.
It is understood the Baggies sent scouts to watch him in action during Aberdeen’s Scottish Cup semi-final with Rangers at Hampden Park and are weighing upon whether to make a bid for him in January.
West Brom did make a couple of additions at the back this summer following the departure of a few of their Premier League standouts, however, McKenna should be an option well worth exploring.
The Scotland international, who has had the likes of Celtic and Aston Villa linked with a move for him, was a standout for Aberdeen in their victory over Rangers and would certainly help to improve the Baggies backline.
However, it would remain to be seen if West Brom would be able to win the race for his signature as if they were to make an offer in January for him, it is likely a number of other clubs would look to battle them in order to acquire him.
