West Brom to struggle in pursuit for Lewis Archer

West Bromwich Albion’s pursuit of a reported transfer target does not look like it will end well for the Championship outfit.

According to James Nursey, the Baggies are thought to be keen on Hednesford Town’s Lewis Archer, however, it appears a move could end in disappointment.

The reliable journalist has revealed that the non-league side are not looking to sell their talented attacker at the current moment and are believed to be excited about the potential he still has.

However, Nursey did add that the club could be prepared to let him go in the future, although that will be once his market value has risen.

Darren Moore was thought to have been keen on bringing the 20-year-old to The Hawthorns on a trial basis, however, the Northern Premier League outfit had said that the Baggies would have to pay for him.

The Verdict:

It appears that West Brom could have a chance of signing the promising Hednesford attacker in the future, although they may have to pay a little more than they would like for him in the future.

The 20-year-old has shown he has a lot of potential going forward, having already netted four times in seven appearances and will have been pleased to have attracted major interest.

However, he and West Brom will need to bide their time if a move is ever to manufacture itself.
