Wolverhampton Wanderers fans in The Transfer Tavern are discussing reports that one of their young players is set to return to training after going AWOL.
Bright Enobakhare had not been seen at the club since Wednesday 11th November and there were fears that the player had returned to his native Nigeria, according to reports in The Express and Star.
The club were growing increasingly concerned of the players whereabouts after being granted a couple of days compassionate leave by manager Kenny Jackett. Wolves released a statement yesterday which read:
“Wolves can confirm that club officials have today met with striker Bright Enobakhare and he is expected to return to training this week. The 17-year-old youngster had been absent for almost two weeks due to a family issue, but has remained in the local area.”
“Head coach Kenny Jackett said earlier today that while Enobakhare had initially been granted a few days compassionate leave, the club had since been expecting him to return to Compton Park. Officials have met with the striker this afternoon and agreed that he will return to training.”
“Wolves now consider the matter to be closed, and ongoing support and discussion with Enobakhare will remain confidential.”
The Wolves fans in The Transfer Tavern are pleased the player has returned and now hopes he keeps his head down and give 100% to the club’s cause.
