Barnsley sit in 22nd place in the Championship, having taken just six points from their first 10 games, but their last-minute goal to earn a point against Derby County on Wednesday night gave fans a long-awaited moment of joy.

Striker Cauley Woodrow made it 2-2 in the 94th minute and it could provide the boost they need between now and Christmas.

Woodrow has scored three goals from seven Championship appearances this season and that’s fine form considering the club have only netted seven all season so far. The number nine bagged 16 league goals for the Tykes while on loan last term and, given his importance, surely their survival hopes largely rest on him.

Fans know that too, and they showed their support for the 24-year-old on Twitter when he posted a picture of his celebrations after the game against Derby. The caption included: “Fantastic tonight, to get a draw in 94th-minute amazing scenes...don’t matter how they go in”.
