Celtic: Some Hoops fans talk about Hartson

Some Celtic fans have been left talking by the latest post involving John Hartson that went viral on social media recently.
A Hoops-related page called Celtic1967.com recently relayed a compilation of Hartson’s goals and performances during his time at Parkhead. The video was posted on Hartson’s birthday on Saturday and the post wished the former player on the day.
The Welshman had joined Celtic from Coventry in the summer of 2001 and had remained at Parkhead for five years. He had left the club in the summer of 2006 to join English side West Bromwich Albion.
During his time in Glasgow, the forward had won three Scottish First Division titles. He had also won two Scottish Cup crowns for the Hoops. Apart from that, he also won a single League Cup.
Hartson’s accolades show that he indeed was an influential player at Parkhead. He had been part of the side that had reached the UEFA Cup final of 2003 and had even scored against Liverpool at Anfield in the second leg of the quarter-final.
While he couldn’t play in the final against Jose Mourinho’s Porto, the comments of the Celtic fans show that they do remember him fondly and have a lot of admiration for him.
On seeing this video, many Hoops fans were left euphoric. They do remember Hartson’s time at Celtic fondly.
What a superb striker. Never hid. Never went in a huff. Always gave 100%. Not one single defender would have fancied playing against him. Magical times with BBJ
