Nottingham Forest: Fans reflect on Frank Clark’s era with the club

Frank Clark was appointed the new Nottingham Forest manager 27 years ago yesterday and many fans were waxing lyrical about his tenure with the club.
The 76-year-old achieved great things with Nottingham Forest, including setting the record as the only manager to go unbeaten in his first 11 games in charge of a top-flight English football team. That record stood until 2018, when Maurizio Sarri made it 12 games unbeaten during his time with Chelsea (via Nottingham Post).
Will Nottingham Forest be promoted this season?
Yes

No

Clark succeeded Brian Clough as the Forest manager and, in his first season at the hilt, took the Reds into the top tier after finishing second in the old First Division. The following season saw his side finish third, ahead of Liverpool and Leeds.
Many Forest fans have flocked to the club post to show their gratitude to their former gaffer. One supporter has said he is ‘still a good guy’, whilst another has branded him a ‘legend’.
Legend.
