Leeds United: Fans lash out at Jonathan Woodgate after post-match claims

Some Leeds United fans hit out at Jonathan Woodgate after the former Whites defender claimed Middlesbrough should have had a penalty in their narrow loss last night.
Woodgate, who played 127 games for the club (per Transfermarkt), was frustrated that his team didn’t get a spot-kick when Lewis Wing’s late free-kick struck the arm of Stuart Dallas (via Sky Sports). However, it seems as though the Yorkshire faithful weren’t happy with the former Real Madrid centre-half as they pointed out some decisions that went against their own side.
One fan claimed the coach was whinging.
Boring when managers whinge about this stuff

Leeds were denied penalties of their own as Jack Harrison and Helder Costa went down under fouls from ex-Elland Road player Adam Clayton. The result sees Marcelo Bielsa’s side retain their five-point lead to third-placed Fulham while the Riverside Stadium outfit are now level on points with Wigan Athletic. Some Whites fans weren’t happy with Woodgate’s claims as they took to Twitter to react. Let’s take a look at some of the reactions:
Penalty claim? He got that right. We should have had two.

For sake of balance though Leeds had two fairly clear shouts for penalties also. Can’t hang his hat on the fact they didn’t get the penalty 🤷🏻♂️

Can’t have been watching the same game

Was Woodgate watching a completely different game to me? Were my eyes lying??? They should have had a penalty??? We had one definite penalty and another that was 50-50. He’s lying! #lufc @TheSquareBall
