Leeds United: Fans slam Helder Costa after disappointing Nottingham Forest outing
A number of Leeds United fans were left frustrated watching Helder Costa during their 2-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday night.
The Portuguese winger was hugely ineffective throughout the game and appeared to draw plenty of criticism from the Whites’ faithful on Twitter.
According to the data collected by WhoScored, the 26-year-old appeared to have a solid game on paper, having contributed with one shot, two key passes, one dribble as well as providing his team-mates with two total tackles and two clearances.
However, amid the fact that Leeds will have to splash out around £15m to bring him to Elland Road permanently at the end of the season (The Sun), it seems many of the club’s supporters are far from impressed with what he offers and would not be prepared to see that amount of money spent on him.
Indeed, a plethora of supporters used a number of negative adjectives to describe his performance against Forest, with many suggesting Costa would be an individual that costs them promotion.
