Leeds United: Fans slam Helder Costa for his showing against QPR

Many of the Leeds United fans were left far from impressed with what they saw from Helder Costa following their defeat to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, with many of them taking to Twitter to vent their frustration and anger towards him.

Having witnessed Nahki Wells put the ball into the net and then Patrick Bamford missing a glorious chance from the penalty spot, Marcelo Bielsa’s side failed to take advantage at the top of the Championship and leapfrog West Bromwich Albion before they take to the field on Sunday.

Indeed, fans will have been disappointed to see their side pick up their second defeat in a row, however it appears many are angry with what Costa has brought to the Elland Road outfit since completing a loan move from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer – a deal that includes an obligation to buy him in six months time (per the club’s official website).

According to WhoScored, the 26-year-old completed one key pass, one dribble and helped out defensively with one tackle and two interceptions but his lack of attacking ability on display is what caught the eye of many of the Leeds faithful on social media. A plethora of them took to Twitter to tear into the Portuguese winger questioning just how good he was, with some stating that he was just ‘bang average’ and was ‘so far off the mark’.

Here are just some of their reactions…
