Nottingham Forest: Fans slam Sammy Ameobi for his performance

Some Nottingham Forest fans appear to have been angered by the performance Sammy Ameobi put in against Reading on Saturday afternoon.
The Tricky Trees’ encounter with the Royals all came down to the very last moments of stoppage time when both sides managed to put the ball into the net to give each team a share of the points.
Sabri Lamouchi’s men had taken the lead through a late effort by Ben Watson, however a Tobias Figueiredo own goal just moments later meant the promotion hopefuls would be heading back a little disappointed (BBC).
Whilst fans, perhaps, would not have been able to understand how Nottingham Forest did not come away with more than a point, it seems many are fed up with the performances that Ameobi has been putting in.
Many of them commented that they did not know what type of display they would get from the 27-year-old with some referencing the book by Robert Louis Stevenson, Jekyll and Hyde, as they mentioned that he put in a solid first-half showing before going missing in the second.
Here are just some of their reactions to Ameobi’s performance…
Silva and Ameobi were both awful today, im positive that he would have done better than both of them combined today

A nothing game. Empty stadium, poor refereeing and our fans unusually quiet. Thought Chema’s tackling made him our best player today. Disappointed by Ameobi again who looks disinterested. Samba should stop time wasting. Reading a boring long ball team. A draw a fair result #nffc

Absolutely lost for words. How on earth we’ve not came away with 3 points after scoring that late on is beyond me. Should never be happening.
Quick question, has Ameobi won a competition to become a professional footballer or something?

Also can we PLEASE sign another winger? I can’t be doing with Ameobi’s Jekyll and Hyde performances – for an hour of that match, we were basically playing with 10 men he was so bad #nffc

I’m not one to hype up our youth team players and I think 90% of our lot over hype some of ours but there’s no doubt about it that Mighten is better than Ameobi #NFFC

Ameobi looks great at times then looks like he hasn’t got a care in the world
