Many Sheffield Wednesday fans are reacting to a tweet from Dom Howson after he analysed some key points in the loss against Barnsley at the weekend.

The journalist spoke about Izzy Brown’s continued absence, Callum Paterson’s angry outburst and the fact that at the moment, he feels that club has no clear plan. The point on Brown, in particular, generated plenty of discussion.

Many fans were not happy as they feel that Brown is a creative spark who can help the Owls get some more goals in the side. They only have ten goals this season (SofaScore), the second-lowest in the division, so perhaps Brown could be the man to bring more attacking prowess to the side.

Brown could be the missing creative link for the club. Last season for Luton, Brown scored one goal and picked up seven assists in 25 appearances, whilst also managing 2.1 key passes a game and 2 successful dribbles per game, via WhoScored. These stats, added to the struggles of the Owls, may explain why some fans want him to be getting more game time at the club, as it’s certainly easy to see that the side are missing a creative spark.
