West Bromwich Albion lead the way in the Sky Bet Championship at the moment with the Baggies a couple of points clear from the likes of Leeds United and Preston North End.
After that, Nottingham Forest and Swansea City are among those also looking to reel them in and so the Baggies know that now is the time to get the foot down hard on the throttle and pull away from the chasing pack.
We’ll soon see if they can do that as we head towards Christmas with this weekend seeing them take on Sheffield Wednesday in what should be a top game.
It remains to be seen who Slaven Bilic looks to play in that one, then, but Gareth Barry is getting to a point where he could now feature once again for them, with him playing for the reserves yesterday afternoon.
He’s also since said that he’s feeling ready to get back playing for the first team and, this in mind, Baggies fans have taken to Twitter to discuss his potential return.
