Leeds United: Fans lash out at Marcelo Bielsa after his comments on loss of form

One thing that can’t be argued about Leeds United, as of right now, is that the club are in a horrid run of form. Indeed, just two wins in their last 11 games across all competitions suggest the players are not performing well enough.
However, try telling that to Marcelo Bielsa, who in his pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow’s game against Brentford claimed his team are ‘not playing worse than before’ (via Phil Hay). At the start of the campaign, the Whites were flying as they averaged 2.1 points per game in their first 22 Championship fixtures. However, that figure has dropped to a meagre 0.9 since the Yorkshire outfit let a three-goal lead slip in their draw with Cardiff City (via LUFC Data).
Fans have every right to be frustrated with their head coach after his comments about how the team have performed of late seem contradictory to the statistics. Here is a selection of tweets from some Leeds fans:
I love you Marcelo, but this is simply not true

Great so Bielsa has lost the plot now as well as the players.

Post-match interview with Ayling says otherwise.

Is he trying to hypnotise the press or the players?! pic.twitter.com/F0Cl4iwrB4

He’s in denial.
