Q.P.R starlet Adel Taarabt has indicated he is ready to vacate Loftus road to avoid playing in the Championship the season after next.
Rangers have priced the Moroccan play-maker at £10m and Daily Mail has reported Newcastle could be the direction he is aiming towards, but Pardew will have to double his previous offer of £5m for Taarabt that was snubbed in January.
He disrespected his current employers by stating “They want me to stay four years on the same terms I don’t want to sign for four years then after one year I am going to be back in The Championship”
After the former Spurs man tipped his current club for the drop next May he went on to insult Newcastle after he told the Mail on Sunday
‘People say Newcastle will be good for me, that the fans love players like me. It is fantastic to play in front of 50,000 supporters every week,’ but then he added ‘I do not need one of the very big clubs at this stage of my career.’
Taarabt was thrown a life line to switch across London from White Hart Lane after failing to establish himself good enough in the North of the capital, and after a slow start for the super hoops he netted 19 league goals picking up Championship player of the season helping Neil Warnock’s men seal promotion.
You would think he had won them the Champions League and picked up FIFA world player of the year listening to him, as he is anything but short of confidence.
The 22 year old who is contracted to Rangers until 2013 is keen to use the Magpies as a stepping stone, until he is wearing the captain’s armband for Barcelona… or lifting the Premiership in a Chelsea strip… Keep dreaming son.
After this revelation they should let him rot in the reserves… and as for Newcastle, surely they will steer clear… We shall see
