Arsenal will be looking for their new manager to make an immediate impact this summer as they look to get on track following Arsene Wenger’s resignation.
The Gunners, who are still to name the Frenchman’s successor, will know what a big decision it is to get the right man in for the job, and they will also be aware that it’s essential that they back their new man with sufficient funds in the transfer market.
Here in the Tavern, our landlord thinks that the club need to be investing more and more in order to keep up with the likes of City and United at the summit of the table, and he thinks there’s a few players out there who could make a big impact at the Emirates.
One such player is Ukrainian and Dortmund winger Andriy Yarmolenko, has been plying his trade in Europe for a number of years to good effect.
Rated at £22.5m be website Transfermarkt, the winger would be within the budget plans for Arsenal, and would give them a direct and pacey outlet on either wing, something they are arguably lacking at the moment.
A regular for both club and country, Yarmolenko would be well suited to the Premier League and would be the sort of player to get fans off their seats. He is quick, can beat his man, and can chip in with goals when he’s on song, and would be an exciting signing for the Gunners if they could pull it off.
Arsenal fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
