£24m Superstar Exit On The Cards

The ‘controversial’ Mario Balotelli has dropped the biggest hint yet about his desire to make a shock return to Italy, just 12 months after signing for City for a measly £24m!

Talking to Gazetta dello Sport the stroppy striker claimed,

“I  do not feel well in Manchester I miss my home, my friends and my family. I am happy with the coach  and with my team-mates, however, I do not like the city of Manchester”.

It’s hard to imagine Balotelli and Mancini being the best of friends, and ever since his signing from Inter Milan the young Italian International has vaguely seen eye to eye with his gaffer.

The 20 year old starlet certainly has fantastic ability and has displayed a handful of sensational performances, for example netting his first hat-trick for City over the Christmas period during a 4-0 win against Villa, also picking up man of the match against stoke in the f.a cup final, helping the sky blues lift their first trophy in 35 years.

His talent is too often over shadowed by his attitude which is certainly a cause for concern for Roberto Mancini, or any future employers for that matter.

He has also indicated his preferred destination if he were to exit England a head back to his own Country as he said,

“Milan are a great club. We can talk about it in the future”.

I think if the young hit man departs this summer, it certainly wouldn’t be the end of the world where Manchester City are concerned. Considering he is contracted until 2015 I wonder what club would be willing to pay big money to bring him in, and take on the daunting task of trying to tame his hot headed approach… Good luck with that one!
