Less than 24 hours after England’s humiliating exit from EURO 2016 at the hands of minnows Iceland, the pain is still raw.
Following the defeat, manager Roy Hodgson resigned and credited his players for their commitment to the national team during his reign as the man in charge.
However, last night the side showed how tactically inept they were, given they spent a week together prior to the game against Iceland.
They knew they would face a committed, determined side who would play to their strengths and would be hard to break down.
The Three Lions made the perfect start, going a goal up after just four minutes, though were pegged back just 34 seconds after the restart.
The Icelandic side were level and little over 12 minutes later they were ahead after some poor defensive work from the side, while Joe Hart’s persistent clanger dropping continued.

Ever the helpful, our Landlord has compiled the top five players the new England boss whoever he may be, .
