Europa League hopefuls Chelsea look to change tact this summer, with moves to bring in fresher talent already on the horizon.
Chelsea look set to bite the bullet and usher in a new era under who ever the hell they employ, and are after Paraguay starlet Mauro Caballero according to the Daily Mirror.
The Libertad striker, 17, whose dad is apparently also called Mauro and used to play for Paraguay, is also being tracked by German giants Bayern Munich. Caballero has represented his countries U18s side, and is valued at £5million after impressing in the Copa Libertadores.
Whether Roberto Di Matteo survives to oversee the transfer is another issue, but whoever finds themselves perched on top of the trap door is likely to be handed a brief to clear out the has beens in order to make room for fresh talent. There’s not much information out there about the player other than he’s tricky and fast, and the signing would surely represent more of a filler option in what is certain to be a busy summer for a club in such transition.
