Chelsea officials are poised on yet another £50million scoop, this time for Columbian super striker Radamel Falcao.
With a diminishing strike force, Villa Boas is looking yet again to grab former Porto protégé Radamel Falcao despite his £50million buy out price.
Quality Chelsea strikers are certainly hard to find, and with Anelka now playing in Shanghai, and a doubtful Drogba still without a new deal singed with the club, the Blues are hanging on to Fernando Torres in hope of a wondergoal. But with the baby faced Spaniard’s score record standing at 5 goals in 45 games and no goals in over 18 hours of play, a ‘wondergoal’ is certainly looking doubtful.
According to the Daily Star, Villa Boas has had people watching the Athletic Madrid forward at every game for the past 3 months, and it has been said that the Blues Boss has so much faith in Falcao that he would even offer £50m ‘flop’ Fernando Torres as bait to land the ‘prolific Colombian.’ Although it would be the end of an era seeing Fernando leave the Premiership, it would be a great opportunity for Torres to leave the drought he has created in English Football.
With Falcao being another record breaking buy, would his talents live up to his hefty price tag?
