Arsenal and Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been handed a blow in the pursuit to sign AS Monaco defender Aymen Abdennour, with Metro claiming the clubs interested in landing the defender keeps growing, with West Gam among those interested.
The list of potential suitors for the defender has been expanding rapidly off the back of a sensational season for AS Monaco last campaign.
Along with Arsenal and Liverpool showing signs to be keen on the 25-year-old, word around the pool table here in the Transfer Tavern is they also face competition from West Ham United, Juventus, AC Milan, Bayern Munich and Newcastle United.
The versatile defender, who can also play in either full-back role, was absent for several weeks at the Africa Cup of Nations, but returned to perform a pivotal part in the squads end to the term.
Arsenal fans over by the bar here in the Transfer Tavern feel that they can afford to lose out in this player, and admit there are better players they can go out and sign!
