Arsenal are currently hitting a good spell of form, and at the time of writing were due to face West Brom on New Years Eve in the hope of bagging another three points.
Manager Arsene Wenger has been a key factor once again, and he deserves some praise for riding the storm once again and getting his side competing in the top flight and fighting it out to regain a spot in the top four come the end of the season.
Our landlord here in the Tavern though thinks a key issue needs to be addressed at the Emirates in that the contract of German star Mesut Ozil is still to be sorted, and he thinks the club need to be acting in January to find a replacement.
One player he thinks they could look to bring in is fellow German Julian Draxler, who despite struggling since making a move to PSG, is still a player of tremendous ability and a midfielder who could fit perfectly into the Premier League.
The German international could be ideal sort of replacement if the Gunners end up losing Ozil and fellow star Alexis Sanchez.
Draxler is a wonderful footballer on his day, capable of playing in various roles across the midfield and in advanced attacking positions, which would make him the ideal replacement for Ozil if the Gunners start opts to seek out a move in the January window.
Gunners fans, what do you think of Draxler? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
