The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are already looking forward to pre-season, given just how exciting the future appears to be for the Merseyside-based outfit.
For starters, they’ve enjoyed a brilliant few years, and last term was their best in a long time. They enjoyed a decent level of form in the Premier League, whilst they were also able to progress to the final of the Champions League – which is a testament to their form.
Everyone performed when it mattered, and so personnel-wise, things are looking up. Furthermore, the recent arrival of Fabinho offers a further reason for optimism, whilst Naby Keita is also linking up with the squad this summer.
The duo may not be the only interesting arrivals at Anfield this summer, though. According to the Liverpool Echo, Divock Origi will get a chance to impress during pre-season – with Jurgen Klopp clearly still viewing him as a player that can make an impact.
Origi, of course, isn’t new to Liverpool, but he’s been away at Wolfsburg over the last year, and so it will be interesting to see how he links up with the rest of the squad.
His future remains uncertain, of course, but the Belgian has every chance to prove his worth.
Some Liverpool fans over on Reddit have been discussing the news, and it’s fair to say that they’re generally pretty pleased. They’ve taken to the platform to reveal their views and expectations regarding his return.
Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
